OMG! 50 years! It can't be! I realized after a BA at Wisconsin that I hated cold weather so got my Masters at Florida State before returning to DC. My career evolved around association management, positions in multiple government agencies and included stints in the Senate and the White House. Met the love of my life, an Alabaman, while on vacation in Costa Rica and we have now been married for 21 years. He did not like DC as much as I did so we closed our firm and retired to Scottsdale, Arizona, fourteen years ago. I now know that I do not like temperatures above 105 deg F (but it's a dry heat) and so we use the summers for travel.
