After graduating from Wilson, I attended St. Leo University in Florida. There I played baseball and graduated in 1968 with a degree in economics.

I married Sarah Tait (class of 1966) in 1971. We have two wonderful children: a son who is in commercial real estate with Cushman & Wakefield and a daughter who is an early childhood special education teacher in Fairfax County.

I spent 34 years in commercial real estate with the Carey Winston Co./Transwestern, becoming a principal in 1987 and managing senior vice president in charge of the Northern Virginia office in 1987. In 1974, I was the Washington Board of Realtors' New Leasing Agent of the Year and their Top Commercial Leasing Agent of the Year in 1986.

In 2006, Sarah and I retired to St. Michaels on Maryland's Eastern Shore.

I have theree passions in life. The first is my two granddaughter's. Love every minute I can spend with them. The second is traveling. We have traveled all over Europe over the last 25 years. Our favorite country is Italy. We have been there 8 times. Best country in Europe. The third is Texas Holdem poker. I have played in the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas twice and hope to play again in 2015.
